While major Android brands have already revealed their 2026 flagships, Google’s Pixel 11 won’t follow suit until the second half of the year. The wait is long, but new Pixel 11 Pro leaks are already providing exciting insights into a refined, thinner design and an upgraded camera island.
Google released the Pixel 10 in August 2025, so its successor, likely the Pixel 11 series, is expected to arrive in August of this year. While that is still several months away, we can already catch a glimpse of what one of the models might look like.
Is This the Google Pixel 11 Pro?
Casemaker ThinBorne has already released a case render for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, showing the accessory without the device inside (via Android Authority). This design is expected to apply to the non-XL Pro model and possibly the standard non-Pro model as well.
While there is no way to verify the authenticity of these renders yet, accessory brands often receive early access to specific dimensions and design files before a device is officially announced. We can assume the same holds in this case.
Pixel 11 Camera Upgrades on the Way
Based on the images, the upcoming flagship should carry over the large, elliptical camera island seen in the current Pixel lineup. While it may appear similar at first glance, a closer look suggests subtle tweaks to this part of the device, which could hint at more meaningful changes ahead.
When overlaying the Pixel 10 Pro (review) onto the case image, the island cutout appears slightly narrower but notably taller than before, making the shape closer to squarish than an elongated rectangle. Furthermore, this suggests Google may be tweaking the camera sensors and optics. While it’s possible the change is purely aesthetic, fans would likely be disappointed if we don’t see tangible progress in the camera department.
Furthermore, the module appears to be thinner than previous iterations. Making it wider would make sense if Google is aiming to maintain or even reduce the overall volume of the camera bump.
Of course, these details are still sparse as we wait to learn more about the device. However, any refinement to the camera island is a welcome change, especially considering the relatively stagnant hardware updates in recent generations.
